Hooray! We’ve reached our final milestone, meaning our next stop is Lapland! It’s been a long journey, but we’re not stopping yet.
Ninth Milestone – Tampere
VisitTampere wanted to attract more attention to a few of Tampere’s key draws; its proximity to the great outdoors and its unique sauna culture. So they utilised the power of social media to emphasis this and create a picturesque video series.
As a result, their campaign gained an organic reach of 1.2million people, national press coverage, and cemented Tampere’s reputation as the ‘Sauna Capital of the World’ – sounds like a win to us.
Tenth Milestone – Jyväskylä
Can you believe it, we’ve already stopped off at 10 cities! Gloss has gone global.
This November, Visit Jyvaskyla won an award in World Responsible Tourism for its #SupportLocals campaign in light of the COVID pandemic. The first phase saw the team gather information on local companies and encouraged locals to use these services once restrictions allowed. Community is always key.
Eleventh Milestone – Oulu
One of our biggest achievements to date, we’re officially at the final milestone before we reach our destination! It’s been a long journey, but the end is in sight and we couldn’t be more excited to achieve our goal for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
While here, we couldn’t help but brush up our knowledge of the beautiful city. In fact, 60% of Oulu’s visitors are leisure tourists, thanks to its selection of different cultural attractions, natural wonders, and shopping facilities. It’s also known as one of Europe’s ‘living labs’ for experiments with new technologies and cutting edge developments. Anyone fancy a tech trip?
